Most children join Garden House in the September after they reach four years of age (4+), joining our Reception classes. Children can also join our Kindergarten (3+) and there is a small intake of boys at 8+.
As a first step we encourage you to come and visit the school on one of our Open Mornings. These take place during term time on most Tuesdays (Boys’ School) and Wednesdays (Girls’ School). The Open Mornings give prospective parents the opportunity to see the School in action on a normal school day and to meet the Heads.
Should you wish to arrange a place on an Open Morning, please telephone either the Boys’ School Office on +44 (0)20 7730 6652 or the Girls’ School Office on +44 (0)20 7730 1652.
If you would like to apply for 3+ or 4+ entry, please complete the Application Form at the bottom of this page.
This can be done once your child has been born and we recommend doing so within a year of birth in order to ensure a place for your child on our Interview List. The Application Form should be submitted along with the application fee (£150). Once received, we will send you a postal acknowledgement confirming your child’s name has been placed on the Interview List.
Approximately one year before your child’s designated year of entry our Registrars, Mrs Alice Sewell and Miss Anna Chambers will contact you to invite you and your child to an interview:

Once registered, we will send you a letter confirming your son’s enrolment for our 8+ Assessment Day. This will take place in the Spring term before your son could join Garden House.
Bursaries and scholarships are available for boys joining at 8+.
Garden House operates a sibling policy, giving priority to girls and boys who already have siblings in the School.
Occasionally, places become available on an ad hoc basis for children further up the School. Please contact our Registrar, Alice Sewell or Anna Chambers by email admissions@gardenhouseschool.co.uk
or by telephone on +44 (0)20 7730 1652.
